Children - Family
Breakfast Program
The Breakfast program is offered to primary school aged children.
Children are offered a range of healthy breakfast foods, they are able
to make their lunch and they are supplied with recess. Toothpaste and
brushes are supplied and children are assisted with hygiene and grooming.
They are encouraged to assist with preparation of food and cleaning
up. The children also have the opportunity to socialise, play games
and are walked to school by staff and volunteers. This program is free
of costs.

Afternoon program
Two afternoon sessions are held each week. These sessions assist children
in learning social skills, coping with feelings of frustration and anger
and provide activities, which encourage creativity, teamwork and friendships.
The children participate in such things as cooking, craft, dance, music,
sport and outdoor games. A healthy snack is provided during the session.
The Centre provides a safe supportive environment for children and their
families, free of cost.

Playgroups
Play groups are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am until 11.30am. Playgroups are for 0 to 5 year olds and
their parents/caregivers. Playgroup facilitators promote learning through play, communication between child and parent,
creativity and diversity. Families are supported to work through issues facing young families, single parents,
parents returning to work and the development of parent child relationships. There are no fees or costs to families.

Busy Babies
Special playgroup, run by therapists for children under 18 months, who have a developmental delay for a variety of reasons. To discuss access to this program please contact C.A.Y.H. on 8179 4500.
